Melvin
sleeps in his office. His sister finds
this troubling, and not just because
she's his boss. If she knew how often
he wasn't alone when he slept there
she still wouldn't fire him. She'd tell
Mom and Dad, and this would be another
kind of hell.
The fact that he gave up his medical
career doesn't help much either. Such
is Melvin's existence when he accidentally
speeddials his old friend Joey, who
invites Melvin to dinner. When he shows
up, Joey is sitting with two women,
Sarah and Alex.
The conversation trips effortlessly
into the realm of marital infidelity,
religion, fetishes, a guy in heaven
wearing a wizard's jersey, cigarettes
and schizophrenia, stewardesses, ghosts
and how it's going to get a lot worse
before it gets better. |
